We had another productive day at camp! We had an afternoon session today so everything was a bit switched around but we packed a lot in. After breakfast, we had a fun dryland agility session – race included! Everyone got really into the competitive spirit and had a blast. After lunch we headed out to our private GS hill for our afternoon session. We set two courses: a stubby drill course on the top flatter part of the hill, and a tall pole GS course down the pitch and into the flat. The surface below a dusting of newer snow was incredible – grippy ice! The snow that we former racers dream of. It’s firm enough to dig in the edges and generate some energy, but still grippy. The athletes took advantage and got lots of laps with lots of feedback, both from coaches and from their own observations / feelings. We rounded out the day with video analysis by the fire 🙂
Looking forward to another great day tomorrow.
