Join us in Big Sky, Montana, for our 3rd annual fall prep camp. We are aiming for 6 days on snow. We will travel and arrive in Big Sky on November 13 and ski from the 14th – 19th.
Our goal with this camp is to focus on GS. We will to start with return to snow fundamentals and free skiing drills. We will build into full length GS training. Depending on conditions and space we may add super G near the end of camp or we could add some slalom training. We want to remain flexible and do what is makes the most sense with the snow and the needs of the athletes.
Each day of camp will feature video analysis, ski tuning assistance, and dryland training led by our Olympians.
Dates: Travel on November 13 and ski November 14-19. 6 days of skiing.
Age: U14’s and U16’s YOB 2011-2014 Other ages will be considered on an individual basis
Coaches: The camp will be led by Olympians Marco and Anna Sullivan. Doug Lewis, Olympian and Eliteam founder will be on the hill and running afternoon dryland training. Mo Lebel yet another Olympian, will be on staff, as well as some FIS Mentors who we will name later. Jim Hudson and Karl McDade head coaches from the Palisades Tahoe Team will round out the crew with a coach to athlete ratio of 5:1.
Travel is not included but if you are from the Tahoe area there will be an opportunity to transport gear in a team cargo van. If you are looking at flights. Coaches will be arriving in Bozeman at 3:15pm on the 13th. We will aim to depart Bozeman at 4:00pm in the team vans. On the 19th we will head to the airport after skiing skiing and head to the airport. Please do not book flights before 4PM on the departure day.
Accommodations: We will be staying at the Huntley Lodge at Big Sky Resort. Each athlete will room with a peer of the same gender.
Meals: 3 square meals per day are included, athletes should bring their own snacks.
Price: $3250
Day Camp: $2200 FOR LOCAL BIG SKY ATHLETES ONLY this includes the full camp with no housing or meals.
PARENTS: $1200 There is no day camp option for out of town athletes but there is an option for parents to room with their child and be on the meal plan at the Huntley Lodge. Being on the meal plan is really the best option, many restaurants and stores are closed during the pre-season in Big Sky. Price includes a bed and three meals a day. This does not include any skiing as the resort will be closed to all public.
