AD CAMP 2020
Dates: May 16-21
Location: Mammoth Mountain, CA
The 4thAnnual American Downhiller Speed Skills Camp is coming back to Mammoth this Spring. The majority of our staff is already confirmed and it includes 10 Olympians, 2 former head World Cup speed coaches, the winningest American DH’er of all time and collectively the most fantastic gathering of people who love to go fast on two skis!
Our camp is focused on the basic principles of how to go as fast as you possibly can down a race course. Our coaches will pass on the knowledge accrued from the highest levels of racing to show the kids how to be fast, be safe, and have a great time doing it!
This is a “speed skills” camp so the primary focus is to build the foundations for aerodynamics, terrain management, and speed tactics that will be used throughout all events not just downhill.
Our camp is open to racers who will be U14- U19 duing the 2020-21 racing season. This is a broad range of ages but we essentially are running two camps in one. Each training day will feature two separate courses based on age/ability and our small coach/athlete ratio guarantees that every racer is getting the attention and training that they need.
